The Border Esk and Liddle Angling Club exists to promote the interests of members and visitors alike. A not-for-profit organisation, the club actively seeks to protect and develop the Border Esk and Liddle Water. Flowing through beautiful countryside with much of the bankside wooded with native hardwoods anglers have access to four beats. Border Esk: Canonbie 4 miles double bank; Langholm 4 miles mixed. River Liddle: Lower Liddle 6 miles single, Newcastleton 4 miles mixed.

Rugby enthusiasts can go along to the Langholm Rugby Club at Milntown. The recently formed Muckle Toon Adventure Festival (formed 2013) successfully used the venue as its basecamp.

The Eskape fitness suite only daily at Eskdale Sports and Leisure Centre and provides a fantastic venue to improve your health, whether you are a beginner taking your first steps to fitness or a regular fitness fanatic. Cardiovascular & resistance equipment is available and qualified fitness instructors are there to assist you make the most of your workouts.

A scenic 9 hole, par 70, course located above the town of Langholm in the Scottish Borders. Founded in 1892, the course has been through several design changes over the years, and now offers a challenging test for golfers of all abillities. No matter which hole you are on, the views are spectacular, none more so than the mountains of the Lake District to the south west.
